Keyword Blueprint was released to the public on the 9th of September in 2009 when Steven Clayton and Tim Godfrey released Commission Blueprint 2.0 – their third highly successful internet marketing course.
Many people heard about Keyword Blueprint prior to it’s release through numerous videos that Steve Clayton and Tim Godfrey released. These videos showed the power of Keyword Blueprint and the Offer Evaluator in finding valuable keywords that have a high chance of working well with PPC campaigns and SEO campaigns.
In the promotional videos made by Steven prior to its release, Steve demonstrated how he could find keywords that would be profitable in marketing a product (a Coffee Club membership) with a payout as low as $11. It was a real eye opener seeing how he found these high quality keywords with commercial intent and then “proved” them viable by passing them through the Offer Evaluator.
The Offer Evaluator is the other tool that all owner of Keyword Blueprint have access to. It is a fantastic tool that is unlike any other on the market currently and as alluded to above, it analyzes your keywords likelihood of being profitable.
So how does Keyword Blueprint actually work?
Keyword Blueprint pulls is raw data from Google as all major keyword tools do these days. This data is always way off the mark and inaccurate however and this is where the real power of Keyword Blueprint comes in.
A special weighting is given to the search data pulled from Google making it so much more accurate. You’re then able to work with and make decisions based on accurate data. For me this is the most appealing aspect of Keyword Blueprint. The data is as accurate as it gets.
The second thing that puts Keyword Blueprint into a league of its own is the fact that you’re able to run searches for SEO and PPC keywords differently. No other keyword research tool currently provides this feature.
All keywords given to you when using Keyword Blueprint have a rating. If you’re creating a PPC (pay per click) project each keyword is rated according to the number of people advertising on Google Adwords using that keyword. This kind of data is extremely powerful as we can make a general assumption that the more people advertising for a given keyword indicate that the keyword is more commercially viable. You also get accurate data regarding the number of clicks to expect and the estimated CPC (cost per click) for each keyword.

Note that the PPC keyword research tool provides you with the estimated clicks and the SEO keyword research tool provides you with the estimated search count. Exactly what you need when you’re deciding on your keywords.
Let’s say now that you want to investigate keywords for a Search Engine Optimization campaign. Many of the functions are the same as for the PPC campaigns except this time you’re also given a value for how easy each keyword will be to rank for. This again is exactly the information you need when setting up a SEO campaign.

More About Keyword Research
Keyword research can be a very complex process, especially for newbies to Internet Marketing. As I mentioned above, something important to determine when you start is whether you a searching for keywords for a SEO campaign of a PPC campaign. The major difference is that some words for a SEO campaign will be just too competitive. You can see how competitive a keyword is by searching in the Google Search Engine. Simply look to the number of results displayed to the right of the search bar.
Another of the most popular and effective keyword research tools available is Market Samurai. Market Samurai hit the scene in 2008 and was pushed by Steven Clayton during the release of his first course, Commission Blueprint. Some of the cool features of market Samurai are its ability to find profitable offers in directories such as Commission Junction, Clickbank, and PayDotCom.
Market Samurai was also pushed hard during Ed Dales 30 Day Challenge.
